Are you a foreigner working in Thailand looking for English-speaking dentists in Bangkok who accept Social Security? Many expats miss out on valuable dental benefits simply because they don't know how to use them. As of May 1, 2026, the Thai Social Security Office (SSO) has majorly upgraded its dental coverage. This guide explains how to claim your annual benefits and navigate the new pay-and-claim reimbursement process.
The Thai Social Security Office provides essential oral healthcare coverage for eligible foreign workers. Under the new 2026 policy, patients must pay upfront at the clinic and claim reimbursement afterward via the SSO app or office. The new rules also introduce expanded budgets!

The benefit limit has been raised to cover between 1,500 - 6,000 baht depending on the number of teeth and denture type. A new allowance of 900 baht/time has also been added for denture repairs. (New dentures can be claimed every 5 years).
A brand-new benefit for patients who have lost all teeth and cannot wear traditional removable dentures. SSO now covers 17,500 baht for surgery and 3,300 baht for the implant kit, including follow-up care.
